About: I am Karl-Petter Åkesson and this is my photoblog. My intentions with this photoblog is that it will be a place where I can show photos that I am pleased with, that I use to show phot, mainly to get feedback from others. I will try to publish one image per day, we will see how it goes. - October 15th, 2005 Something about my photographic history. When I was about 12 I bought my first camera, a Konica T3, which was quite advanced, for that time. It is a SLR and I still have it but have not used it for many years. In the mid-90s I bought a Canon 300 SLR since I really wanted autofocus. I have used that camera quite a lot but what really changed photography for me was a couple of years ago. I bought my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot A70. Not any extreme camera in any way but what it did for me was to re-discover the fun of photography. I got instant feedback! That was the big WOW! Before with the film cameras it was fun to experiment, to understand what the aperture did to my photos etc. But since it usually took quite some time between the image was taken and I could see the result it took time to learn. Now that's instant! About the Photoblog: After looking around a while for different solutions to do a photoblog and testing to use MoveableType I stumbled upon PixelPost! It seemed to be exactly what I wanted, clean and simple layout, support for EXIF data, and the option to scale uploaded images. Not all of this was there directly but there where the addons. Though never really got the rescale modification to work so I ended up modifying PixelPost myself, so now I use ImageMagick to do the scaling.
