This entry is just to share how I solved these issues.

I wanted to add a small note or comment on the webpage when the image was taken. I could not use <#datetime>-tag in Thotor since the file date was changed when I did some changes to the photos. After some tests I found a nifty little tool called jHead that helped me a lot! jHead can read the date in the jpeg file when the photo was taken and set the file date to that date, and I could use the Thotor <#datetime>-tag. Here’s an example how it can look like.

Another problem I had earlier today was how to generate a chronological order of my photos. Usually there is no problem with Canon EOS Viewer Utility and Renamer but today I had images taken both with my 20D and my A75 and I wanted them all in chronological order. The EOS Viewer Utility changes the modified date of the files if you modify anything in the photo and therefore did every image I changed appear as to have a faulty date, atleast as seen from Renamer since Renamer can not sort images based on the EXIF tag when it is taken. Though Stamp could take car of this since it can read the EXIF tag and rename the file accordingly. Also this is possbile to do with jHead so maybe I do not need to keep Stamp installed anymore…

I have been using Thotor some time now to publish photos I take.
